Master Planning of Qingchuan County, Sichuan province (2010-2020):

Project scale: The County only occupies 4.25km, but its governed area covers 3269km2.
This project is implemented on basis of that tragedy—5.12 Wenchuan earthquake. In accordance with guidance for restoring Qingchuan county after damaged attack from earthquake and solving fundamental living needs of residents in Qingchuan county, this particular master planning was completed. Planning ideas is to form this county as an administrative, cultural center of Qingchuan county which included some functions like ecological and the commercial types. Based on necessary assessment towards the research for urban ecological security and emergency shelter for avoiding disasters, we are able to offer the scientific proof for the layout of ecological security within county and categorize the county layout into a spatial structure—one city with four areas.
